Job Overview:
Riverstone Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated **Engineering Technician** to support our engineering team in developing, testing, and implementing technical solutions. The Engineering Technician will play a critical role in assisting engineers with design, troubleshooting, assembly, and field support. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical skills and hands-on experience in a variety of engineering tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in Design and Development: Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine mechanical, electrical, or civil designs, including prototyping and testing of components and systems.
- Equipment Setup and Maintenance: Set up, operate, and maintain engineering tools and equipment to support project execution.
- Testing and Quality Control: Perform testing of products or systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards, documenting results and recommending improvements.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with machinery, equipment, or systems, providing repair or adjustment as needed.
- Field Support: Provide on-site support to engineers during field testing or installations, ensuring equipment is installed correctly and operates as intended.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of testing, design changes, and equipment maintenance. Assist with creating user manuals, operating procedures, and other technical documentation.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with other departments such as manufacturing, supply chain, and quality control to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and company protocols.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as an engineering technician or in a similar role, preferably in a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with PLCs, circuit boards, and other electronics is a plus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and think critically about technical challenges.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work in various field environments when required.
